In the late 1800's, John Thulen's pioneering grandfathers set out on a search for the perfect place to raise their children. Across the United States they looked for land which could grow quality food and sustain their families for generations to come. They found that place in the Skagit Valley, a valley located in the Northwest region of the U.S., with rich soil, endless forest and ample opportunities for a hardworking family.

Generations later we, at PIONEER POTATOES, till the same soil with a new pioneering spirit. Years of cultural practices to enhance the soil have enabled us to maintain a quality crop, which is second to none.
